Hendrik Kolenbrander


Hendrik (Henny) Kolenbrander, who landed on Curaçao as a naval chef in the 1970s, soon made a career as chef in Restaurant Holland Club and later as chef in top restaurant De Taveerne in Landhuis Groot Davelaar. Henny Kolenbrander was also active as chef/entrepreneur in Dutch & Delicious in the United States and on Curaçao in Le Traiteur and Point Snack, among others.
Henny Kolenbrander was instrumental with Curaçao Hospitality And Tourism Association (CHATA) in the promotion of the culinary product Curaçao and with the training and guidance of young Curaçao (apprentice) chefs and bartenders.
